Fabric of Your Identity — A Year-End Creative Gathering with Mind If I Come & An.Other Collective ✨

As the year folds to a close, we invite you into a slow, gentle morning of creativity, reflection, and community — a final gathering to honour the stories we’ve lived, the ones we’re rewriting, and the ones still being stitched into us.

Fabric of Your Identity is a participatory textile workshop where artmaking becomes a doorway back to yourself. Through colour, texture, writing, and tactile play, you’ll explore the narratives you carry — and the ones you’re ready to transform.

This special edition is a collaborative celebration between Mind If I Come, a women’s mental health community, and An.Other Collective, a leading artist collective championing creativity as a force for connection and wellbeing.

🧵 What We’ll Explore

Every life holds threads: memories, beliefs, burdens, triumphs.
Some you’ve chosen.
Some have chosen you.

In this workshop you’ll be guided to:

✨ Reflect on your internal stories
✨ Gently rewrite the parts that need new language
✨ Translate those reflections into textile art — layered, stitched, collaged, or written — a tactile expression of your evolving identity

This is creativity without pressure.
Art without expectation.
A space to breathe, feel, make, and reconnect.

✍️ How the Morning Will Flow

Intention Setting
A soft welcome into the space — a moment to centre, land, and name what you’re seeking.

Guided Writing with Aishah (Founder of Mind If I Come)
Short, reflective prompts to unearth inner narratives and invite new ones in.

Fabric Expression with An.Other Collective
Using fabrics, markers, thread, layering, sticking, stitching, drawing — you’ll create a personal textile piece that holds your story in colour and texture.

🎨 Why This Matters

This workshop is a gentle reminder that identity is not fixed.
It shifts, softens, strengthens, and renews — just like fabric in the hands of a maker.

You’ll leave with:

🪡 A personal or collective textile artwork
🌿 A sense of grounding, clarity, and creative release
🤝 Connection with a women-led mental health community and local arts collective
