Fabulating More-than-Human Data with AI

How can AI help us move beyond human-centred urban data? This hands-on workshop invites designers, urbanists, and ecologists to use synthetic data as a tool for reimagining multispecies entanglements and challenging conventional metrics through data fabulation.

Participants will generate speculative datasets for a fictional housing development, imagining how urban spaces might account for multispecies interactions, dwelling patterns, seasonal movements, and ecological interdependencies. Through prompt engineering and collaborative experimentation, the session expands possibilities for urban data, fostering more inclusive and relational approaches to planning and policy.
