Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a standard act, and an act that leaves you absolutely breathless? Of course, a beautiful costume and a good choreography help, but the real secret is theatricality and dramatic tension!
In this workshop, Autumn Daze will teach you how to create dramatic tension in burlesque acts. You will learn how to really work your ‘Stage face’ by practicing facial expressions. Autumn Daze will also introduce different techniques for building tension, for example by utilizing pauses and stillness in your act. Whether you have only just discovered burlesque or perform regularly, this workshop will provide you with all the tools to leave any audience breathless!
In this 1.5 hour workshop you will learn techniques to choreograph justaposing emotions, facial expression and dramatic pause into your act and apply them to a 2 min routine learnt in the workshop. This will elevate the expression in your art and can be utilised in both classic and neo Burlesque routines.
With a diverse range of acts specializing in vintage aesthetic, Autumn is a professional burlesque artist who has featured in a wide range of festivals, competitions and variety shows around Australia and internationally.
