Facial Gua Sha & Yin Yoga Workshop
Event description
Your body reflects the seasons. Winter is a time to slow down and to self care.Â
In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn how to use Facial Gua Sha followed by a guided Yin Yoga practice, meditation and tea. Gua Sha and Yin Yoga derive from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).Â
Gua Sha is a polished crystal tool used over the skin to help release muscular tension, increase blood flow, and stimulate the lymphatic system which enhances detoxification and promotes healing through the skin, leading to a clearer complexion.Â
According to TCM, everything in nature is innately interconnected through the five elements. Winter is associated with the element water and the organs the kidneys and urinary bladder. The kidneys store our essence (jing) and are the root of both the yin and yang energies of the body. The Yin Yoga sequence will focus on the meridians of the kidney and urinary bladder.Â
You will be offered a traditional Chinese restorative tea blend that will support the kidney and urinary bladder and space for a silent mediation.
Our offer:
- Léa Le Bidan, holistic esthetician & healer, will share with you the principles and the different techniques to implement Facial Gua Sha into your skincare routine.Â
- Lana Sheldrick, yoga teacher, will guide the Yin Yoga sequence, utilising asana that detox and enhance your kidney & urinary bladder function, balancing the water element.
- Your facilitiors will finish the practice holding space for a silent mediation and serve a traditional Chinese restorative blended tea.Â
