Facilitating for Participation
Description
Are you a facilitator, trainer, community organiser, or someone who regularly brings groups together, looking to improve your facilitation skills?
Are you often pulled into running workshops and would like to make them more interactive?
Or maybe you work with a diverse range of participants and want to help everyone engage, contribute and shape what happens?
Outcomes
Come along to this half-day masterclass with Inclusion Specialist Shaheen and Participation Specialist Dimitrios, timed to coincide with Inclusion at Work Week (16–20 November).
Along with experiencing engaging, inclusive and participatory facilitation in practice, you will walk away with strategies to:
- widen participation through thoughtful design and facilitation, recognising different needs and barriers to taking part
- create inclusive, psychologically safe spaces that encourage connection and belonging
- make participation more meaningful, engaging and enjoyable, both for participants and for you as a facilitator
- navigate common group dynamics, including dominant voices, quieter participants and differences in power
Bringing together inclusion expertise and creative, experiential facilitation, we’ll explore practical approaches you can apply in workplace meetings, training sessions and community workshops.
Join us on 16th November at 1pm.
