Facilitation Skills Training Workshop - 2 days

Enhance communication and collaboration. Boost creativity. Make space for difference and sound decision-making.

In this workshop you'll develop skills to facilitate and lead teams and projects in a collaborative way. Great facilitation supports people and groups to work well together - so they can progress toward shared outcomes and purpose.

Our training is founded on self-awareness and will build your emotional resilience so that you can navigate difference and challenging dynamics with greater ease.

Topics and skills covered:

Practical facilitation including: group processes and the communication skills required to apply them
The essential principles of facilitation
How to maximise participation
How to welcome difference and bring forth group wisdom
How to build safety in a group
Develop greater self-awareness in groups
Navigating hotspots and challenging conversations
Facilitating challenging group dynamics
Emotional resilience
Skills to make meetings work well

Who is the training for?

We have people from not-for-profit organisations, government, corporate, therapeutic settings, private consultancy and more attend our training. The principles and skills are applicable to any realm of facilitation - and the variety in the room brings valuable perspectives to the training.

We believe you can't learn facilitation without getting your hands in the dirt! Hence our training is highly experiential and hands-on. We offer participants plenty of opportunities for live practice during the course.

We also welcome your unique facilitation/leadership challenges into the course and seek to provide opportunities to practice that are most meaningful to you.

Tiered pricing

Tier 4: $2090 - For larger institutions and/or for those who can offer more support for others to attend.
Tier 3: $1880 - By paying this rate you also support others to attend.
Tier 2: $1724 - This price covers our costs.
Tier 1: $1515 - This is for people that may not be able to access or afford a higher rate. We want to facilitate attendance, this rate does not cover our costs.
(Prices include Humanitix ticket fees - please note, all Humanitix profits are donated to charity.)

Group discount

We offer a 10% discount to people from the same organisation who are attending the course on the same dates.

Payment, Cancellation and Refunds

Payment can be made via credit card at the time of registration. If paying by invoice please note payment must be made within 14 days of invoice being issued (or prior to course commencement, whichever date comes first).

Refund policy

Upon enrolment, you agree to the cost of this course and refund policy. All course fees are to be paid prior to the course commencement date. RESCHEDULES In the event of needing to reschedule, the following points apply: Reschedule requests must be received 4 weeks prior to course commencement. (Requests received after this point will only be granted if the place can be filled by another participant. If the place cannot be filled, the registration and any monies paid are forfeited.) When a reschedule request is granted, the enrollee must select another course date within two (2) weeks. (Course dates as listed on the course calendar) If this does not occur, the participant will lose their place and forfeit any monies paid. Notification to the participant about this requirement will be given twice before a forfeiting of monies will follow. (All participants need to be booked into a session to be able to access their rights to any further re-scheduling amendments or changes. The course must be completed within six months of the original registration date. After this point the registration and monies are forfeited. A person may re-schedule up to a total of three (3) times with a 5% administrative fee required for each reschedule, regardless of the period of time before the newly scheduled event and regardless of the reasons for re-scheduling. A person will lose their spot and forfeit any monies paid after the third reschedule. In the event of sickness a reschedule can be granted in the 24 hours preceding the course start date. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations received more than one month prior to the commencement date will receive a 100% refund, minus a 5% admin fee. Cancellations received less than one month prior to the commencement date will receive a refund if and only if your place in the course is filled by someone else. You will be refunded the course cost, minus a 5% administration fee. If we are unable to fill the place then your course fee will be forfeited. NOTE: In the event that any registration fees are still outstanding at the time when a registration is forfeited (due to cancellation or rescheduling); these fees remain owing and will be billed to the participant.
