Facing Climate Change

Climate Change is one of the most theologically and scientifically complex, and morally acute issues confronting us today. This evening lecture aims to explore some of the dimensions of Climate Change as a moral and theological challenge, by looking at three Biblical texts that throw light on different aspects of the situation we find ourselves in: the problems of prophecy and false prophecy, the challenges associated with anticipation, and the difficulty of imagining apocalyptic futures.

All are warmly invited for refreshments following the lecture downstairs in the Crypt of St James'.

Rev'd Dr Andrew Errington is Rector of Newtown & Erksineville Anglican Church and author of Every Good Path: Wisdom and Practical Reason in Christian Ethics and the Book of Proverbs (Bloomsbury, 2019). He is a member of the Social Issues Committee of the Sydney Diocese.
