Facing Up: how do we live in the midst of the climate and ecological crises? FINAL
Event description
Facing Up is a series of trauma-informed conversations that focuses on the social, economic, cultural, political, emotional and spiritual consequences of the ecological crisis.
In a series of public conversations, held monthly from March to November this year, some of Australia’s leading thinkers consider our place in a rapidly transformed world, and how we might think, feel and act in ways that are grounded, empowering and life-affirming.
This month is our final Facing Up event.
For the final event in this series, we'll be exploring how to find joy in survival and how we can proactively design our lives through "thoughtful preparedness". Plan C CEO Jean Renouf will be joined on stage by international guests Bridget O'Brien and Dr. Charlie Brennan of Garden Juju Collective and Gateway Farm. As innovative sustainability educators, regenerative farmers, ecological landscapers and social ecology practitioners Bridget and Charlie have worked with communities locally and globally on how to prepare for a changing climate and other planetary challenges.
Join us to discuss how we can grow our acceptance and strength to support each other in this period of significant change. And ultimately Face Up to the challenges ahead.
Speakers will be on stage from 6 pm. Food available from 5.30 pm.
Suitable for ages 12+.
