Event description

Facing Up is a series of trauma-informed conversations that focuses on the social, economic, cultural, political, emotional and spiritual consequences of the ecological crisis.

In a series of public conversations, held monthly from March to November this year, some of Australia’s leading thinkers consider our place in a rapidly transformed world, and how we might think, feel and act in ways that are grounded, empowering and life-affirming.

This month, we will are screening Living in the Time of Dying by local film maker, Michael Shaw.

Living in The Time of Dying is an unflinching look at what it means to be living in the midst of climate catastrophe and finding purpose and meaning within it. The people interviewed in the documentary, are all highly regarded and well known spokespeople on the issue and argue it's too late to stop catastrophic climate change but in no way too late to regain a renewed life giving relationship with our world.

Join us to discuss how we can grow our acceptance and strength to support each other in this period of significant change. And ultimately Face Up to the challenges ahead.

Speakers will be on stage from 6 pm. Food available from 5.30 pm.

Suitable for ages 12+.
