Event Overview:

This is not your average networking event. Modelled after the popular concept of speed dating, this event promises an innovative and efficient way to expand your network within the Faculty of Engineering.

How It Works:

Upon arrival, participants will be greeted and provided with a name tag. The evening will kick off with a brief orientation, where you'll learn the rules and prepare for the main event.

Similar to speed dating, attendees will be seated across from each other in pairs. A timer will ring, signalling the start of each networking round. You'll have a set amount of time to introduce yourself, exchange contact information, and discuss your professional interests and goals.

When the time is up, the timer will ring again, and it's time to rotate to the next partner. Don't worry; we'll keep the rotations organized to ensure you can meet as many colleagues as possible.

Networking Tips:

Be prepared with a concise introduction that highlights your expertise and interests.

Ask open-ended questions to foster meaningful conversations.

Actively listen and engage with your partners.

Exchange contact information and follow up with your new connections after the event.

Wrap-Up:
