Event description

What is the Fair Education Summit?

The Fair Education Summit is our flagship event – the largest gathering of organisations tackling educational inequity in the UK. We bring together leaders from across the Alliance to build relationships, share insights and shape all our collective action work, allowing us to build relationships and insights so we can work more powerfully together and amplify our collective voice.

Why attend?

  • Unite behind a collective voice: Strengthen your relationships with key policymakers, businesses, third sector leaders, young people and school and trust leaders all ensuring that no child’s success is limited by their socioeconomic background.

  • Ignite collective strength: Bring together people from across organisations and sectors to learn and lead together.

  • Be part of the collection action: Hear about and learn across themes and places, developing joint solutions to complex challenges through diverse collaborations – building stronger strategies and deepening our influence

Why now?

At the heart of the Fair Education Alliance is the belief that lasting change comes from cross-sector collaboration, rooted in trusted relationships.

Our new strategy illustrates our commitment to doing together what no single organisation could achieve alone:

📉 Invested in the long-term: we are acting with urgency while building the foundations for long-term change together

🌍Take a systems change approach: the issues driving educational inequity are interconnected and complex. We look at the whole system and work to shift the conditions that keep these problems in place.

📚 Place-based transformation: by breaking down silos, building trust, and sharing understanding, we explore the local drivers of inequity, and mapping current initiatives, to identify gaps or overlaps

🚸Enable leadership by young people: we believe it is essential to involve and support the leadership of young people with lived experience of the barriers to education we are trying to dismantle

Our focus this year will be breaking down barriers across our entire community to ensure that together we grow our collective voice, deepen our collective action, and strengthen our collective capacity to lead systems change.
