Join RMIT University, RACE for 2030, the Monash Energy Institute and the Sustainability Transitions Lab at Monash University Business School for a one-day forum exploring how fair and low-carbon energy transitions can be delivered in practice.

The forum will feature an address by Professor Benjamin Sovacool, a leading international scholar in low-carbon transitions, energy policy, energy justice and the governance of energy systems. The program will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, higher degree by research candidates, early career researchers and civil society organisations to examine the challenges and opportunities shaping Australia’s energy future.

The day will include a hybrid public forum, a closed policy roundtable, an HDR/ECR masterclass and an industry networking event.

The event is FREE, but registration is required.

About Professor Benjamin Sovacool

Professor Benjamin K. Sovacool is Director of the Institute for Global Sustainability and Professor of Earth and Environment at Boston University, as well as Professor of Energy Policy at the University of Sussex. He is Editor-in-Chief of Energy Research & Social Science and has published extensively on energy policy, environmental issues, science and technology policy, low-carbon transitions and just energy systems.

·         civil society and community organisations;

·         academics and researchers;

·         higher degree by research candidates and early career researchers

The policy roundtable and HDR/ECR masterclass are targeted sessions with participation subject to eligibility or invitation. The Industry Mixer will bring together Professor Sovacool and attendees from across all sectors.
