Event description

The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA)’s youth sector conference fair.ground. 2023 happens at Boorla Bardip on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 June.

The theme for fair.ground. 2023 is Youth Work is Everywhere’ - because it is!

Conference attendees will explore how youth work principles are being used in a huge variety of settings like education, the arts, health, justice and justice reinvestment, homelessness, disability and employment, in regional and urban places, in various sites of cultural and religious community, online and face to face.

The highly anticipated seventh YACWA conference will feature topical keynote speakers alongside a compelling program of presentations, workshops and activities sparking conversations, insights and growth for those who work for and with young people.

fair.ground. 2023 will be an unmissable chance to connect with peers from diverse contexts across the state and a crucial opportunity to strengthen the capacity and energy of our sector as we continue to champion social inclusion and develop fair ground for young people across Western Australia.  How brilliant that we'll be seeing each other face to face!
