Fair Work Week: How to Create or Negotiate Fair, Flexible Work That Works for You
Description
Fair, flexible working is often talked about, but finding it might not seem so straightforward.
In this one-hour interactive webinar as part of the Scottish Government's Fair Work Festival, Lynn Houmdi, Founder of Flexible Working Scotland, co-creator of Making Work Work, and Scotland’s Flex Influencer, shares her own experience of building a “squiggly” career in order to inspire others to actively create and negotiate a flexible role that works in real life.
This session is deliberately designed to be interactive. As well as a presentation covering her own career story and practical tips on finding, asking for and sustaining flexible work, there will be extended time for Q&A and discussion. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own questions - whether about job searching, asking for flexibility, negotiating contracts, or handling tricky conversations with employers - so the session can respond to real, lived situations and experience.
This session will be recorded and the recording will be sent to you after the session, so please do sign up even if you can't make it live!
