Fake Cake Decorating Trinket Boxes with Anther

Those nostalgic vintage cakes can look too good to eat, and in this class they will be! Decorate a heart-shaped wooden trinket box, learning icing piping techniques with a fake cream mixed from plaster to create a realistic smooth buttercream texture. 

What will we cover?

We'll be:

• Mixing our faux cream in different colours with plaster-learning and practicing piping techniques with different icing tips 

• icing and decorating the box as if it was a real cake

• any excess cream leftover can be sealed and brought home, where you can use it on something else

• lowering your item into your BYO box via a non-stick base, securing it for transport home

Who will be Teaching?

Acanthus (Anther) Oria Low [they/them] is a collector of hobbies and a small-space suburban keeper of many species of unconventional animals, and chronic pain fighter. They are a foster carer for the Rabbit Sanctuary and are passionate about sharing environmentally friendly, low or no cost enrichment for animals.
Anther has dabbled in editorial makeup, cosplay, digital design, dungeons and dragons, and so so many crafts. Find them and their animals on Instagram.
