Fall Flower Farming Workshop with Bread & Roses Farm

This class will cover fall flower farm tasks such as propagation, planting fall flowers for spring in the field and greenhouse, and dahlia tuber storage/splitting. 

Bread and Roses Farm is a local, cooperatively owned farm, run by owners Katie, Ren, and Abby. Their farm currently provides cut flowers and bouquets to local markets, as well as a seasonal flower share in partnership with Mountain Bounty Farm.

“We didn’t come up with the term “Bread and Roses.” It comes from the early 1900’s, during labor movements and women’s suffrage, when people were calling for what a lot of us want now: our basic needs to be met and, on top of that, the beautiful things. Not because the beautiful things are extra, but because they’re core to who we are.”
