Fall Hand-Sewing Social at Literary Arts! 🍂🪡 | Ages 6+

SCRAP is thrilled to partner with our neighbor, Literary Arts, for a special collaborative event!

Join us for a HAND-SEWING SOCIAL at this wonderful nonprofit dedicated to engaging readers, supporting writers, and inspiring the next generation with great literature.

🍂☕🍄🥧🎃 Happy Autumn! Join us in the Literary Arts bookstore & cafe to hand-sew decorative plushies and felt garlands. Bring a friend! Make a friend! Grab a beverage, browse the books, and gather round to sew some leaves, mushrooms, acorns, and more in this seasonal celebration!

Traceable templates & embroidery stitch print-outs provided. Self-guided & beginner-friendly. A SCRAP educator will be ready to assist newer sewists with hand-sewing basics!

Drop-ins welcome until the end of the event!

5-7pm | Ages 6+. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Location: The Literary Arts bookstore and cafe at 716 Southeast Grand Ave!

SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expression, so we’re offering tiered ticket options:

• Ambitious Artist ($7) - This ticket reflects the “true value” of the event.

• Patron of the Arts ($10) - Your extra support contributes to continued ticket accessibility — thank you so much!

• Curious Crafter ($5) - Our most accessible option for community members experiencing financial hardship. Also a great option for large families.

If we sell out, we will sell tickets at the door, but keep in mind that Literary Arts is a shared gathering space, so seating availability may vary. Swing by, check out the scene—and if space permits, grab yourself a ticket! However, do bear in mind that we won't be bringing cash to make change, so unless you have exact change or are willing to make a generous roundup (❤️), ticket sales will be mainly digital. Thanks!
