Jules is a Sydney based singer songwriter. Her new album Familiar Drama is out 3 November, 2023. Recorded at Studios 301, Familiar Drama is produced by Jules, Grammy nominated engineer and producer Simon Cohen, and John Lawrie. Familiar Drama is an album filled with songs that explore the complexity of grief, redemption, and nostalgia. Familiar Drama is Jules’ fourth musical project (Ocean, 2003; Voiceless, 2011; Carry On, 2016). In 2012, after a traumatic time, Jules had all but thrown away any musical pursuits when Jermaine Jackson had discovered her song Papergirl. Jackson called Jules, became a mentor in music, and inspired Jules to write, record, and perform again. Jules wrote the songs of Familiar Drama over four years. The recording of this album has been a slow burn but an ongoing commitment to good craftmanship and artistry.
