Families Australia and PeakCare are hosting a Shaping Futures Symposium: The Status of Children & Young People in Australia on Thursday 19 June 2025 in Brisbane.

Nestled amongst Queensland's 2025 Out of the Box Children’s Festival, this national symposium will explore the current and future status of children and young people in Australia. It brings together thought leaders, policymakers, sector professionals, and lived experience voices for a powerful day of discussion and insight.  

Renowned journalist, author and leader Stan Grant will be delivering a keynote address, followed by a facilitated ‘In Conversation’ Q&A session.

This one-day program, immediately following the National Early Years Policy Summit (17-18 June), will be a mix of keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions structured to engage the audience and provide an opportunity for an informed conversation.
