Birds are all around us, but it can take a little time to notice who is living in the trees and bush around us.

Join Nature Play SA for a Family Bird Appreciation Walk at Belair National Park. We’ll walk beneath the trees, looking and listening for birds, hearing stories about their lives and learning about some of the birds we encounteralong the way.

Children and young people will have the opportunity to use binoculars, ask questions, explore bird resources and spend time noticing the natural world around them.

Who is this for?

Children and young people and their families/carers.

The walk is designed to be welcoming for families with little or no previous experience with birdwatching.

Do we need birdwatching experience?

No. You don’t need to know the names of birds or have used binoculars before. We’ll explore together and share some simple ways to notice and recognise the birds we find.
