Description

Curious about the threatened species that live around Myponga Reservoir Reserve? Join us together with Nature Play SA and Drew Kilner to explore the habitats that support local wildlife and learn more about the species that call this place home.

We’ll begin with a Welcome to Country and an introduction to Reservoirs for Nature. Through storytelling and time spent exploring the reserve, we’ll look at some of Myponga’s threatened species and consider how habitat restoration can help support their recovery.

Drew Kilner, a Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man, will share cultural knowledge and connections to plants, animals and place. We’ll also explore how caring for and restoring landscapes connects with reconciliation.

No previous wildlife or ecology experience is needed.

What’s included:

  • Learn about threatened species found at Myponga Reservoir Reserve.

  • Explore habitats that threatened species use or may use in the future.
