Family Event Sydney: Children’s Book Launch at Wylie’s Baths, Coogee
Description
Make a splash where history began.
Join us at Wylie’s Baths for the launch of a beautiful new children’s book inspired by pioneering Australian swimmers Fanny Durack and Mina Wylie.
In 1912, when women were first allowed to compete, Australia hesitated to send them. Determined to change that, they won gold and rewrote history.
This special event brings their story to life in the very place it all began.
Enjoy a live reading, a Q&A with She Shapes History, and the chance to meet the author as we celebrate a story of courage, friendship and determination.
A meaningful day out for families, and a story worth supporting for the wider community.
Free event. Bookings essential. Limited capacity.
