FREE Family Friendly Nature Connection session
These school holidays and nature play week we are offering a family-friendly session - ideal for 8 to 12 year olds with their accompanying adult.
This outdoor session will include an exploratory wander in beautiful Braeside Park, a nature treasure hunt and some nature art and craft - including weaving or journaling (drawing and writing about what we discovered)! All supplies provided, and take home your beautiful creations.
Our nature connection activities are designed to encourage children’s
curiosity and creativity, in a fun and relaxed way. We explore the
environment around us, search for specific nature treasures (e.g., flowers, leaves, insects) and then settle on the ground to capture what we
have noticed on our individual pages.
- Suitable for all ages, probably best for 8 years and up (but you know your child/ren best)
- Younger children may need some more assistance from their adult
- Children-led - they select what they are interested in and how they want to do activity, and are supported with suggestions me and their adult
- All supplies provided
- Children to be accompanied by an adult for the duration
- Take home the pages you create
Bring / wear
- shoes and clothing suitable to be outdoors for the session (including sun hat and/or waterproof jacket)
- water bottle and any desired snacks
- any preferred enviornmentally-friendly art supplies (but everything provided)
