Event description
Join us to celebrate the opening of the Stonehouse Walk, Bindoon with this free family event!
Walk, ride or run the 4km or 2km trail, or, come straight to the Brockman Precinct to enjoy the celebrations.

Arrival Time
Please arrive at Clune Road (off Gray Road - not Clune Park)
between 7:45am - 8:15am to sign in.
Sign in desks will close at 8:15am.
Parking
Parking is available at Clune Park, Binda Place and along Gray Road.
Please do not park at Clune Road, Brockman Precinct or Spice Road as there is no parking available.
How to get back to your car
You are welcome to leave Brockman Precinct and return to Clune along the trail.
Alternatively, a shuttle service (with trailer for bikes) will run half hourly from 9:30am to return participants back to Clune Road.
What to bring
Please bring water, sunscreen and a hat.
There will be water refill and sunscreen available at the start in Clune Road,
the 2km halfway point at Spice Road and at the finish point at Brockman Precinct.
What if I can no longer make it?
No problem.

What is the breakfast and drinks?
Breakfast is bacon & egg rolls with orange juice, apple juice or water.
Pop tops for under 6 years olds.
There is limited gluten and vegetarian options available for those who have indicated the requirement at registration.
Finish Time
The event will finish at 11:00am, however, participant are welcome to leave Brockman Precinct earlier if you wish.

Please note: This trail consists of natural ground coverings including sand and gravel and some areas may be uneven or slippery. Whilst effort has been made to ensure the surfaces are maintained and safe, please take care and be aware of surroundings and footings as participants enter at their own risk. Please also be aware of the presence of native wildlife including snakes.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Definitions
Unless otherwise required by the context or subject matter the following words have these meanings in this Terms and Conditions:
Event means the event titled ‘Family Fun 4km or 2km Walk, Ride or Run” organised by the Shire;
Participant means all participants who are participating in the Event;
Shire means the Shire of Chittering (ABN 48 445 751 800) as the Event organiser;
Terms and Conditions means this terms and conditions as supplemented, amended or varied from time to time; and
Trail means the Stonehouse Trail area which the Event is to take place.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
1.1 To the full extent permitted by law, by entering, spectating and/or participating in the Event, all Participants have agreed to the Terms and Conditions, regardless if they have expressly accepted these Terms and Conditions or have formally registered for the Event.
Indemnity
1.2 The Participant indemnifies, and shall keep indemnified, the Shire, its officers, servants, employeesor agents from and against all actions, claims, costs, proceedings, suits and demands whatsoever which may at any time be incurred or suffered by the Shire, or brought, maintained or made against the Shire, in respect of:
(a) any loss whatsoever (including loss of use);(b) injury or damage of, or to, any kind of property or thing; and(c) the death of, or injury suffered by, any person,
caused by, contributed to, or arising out of, or in connection with, whether directly or indirectly:
(i) the Participant’s presence on the Trail;(ii) the Participant’s participating in the Event;(iii) the Participant’s activities or other use of any kind on the Trail; or(iv) an act or omission of the Participant.
1.3 The Shire agrees that nothing in clause 1.2 shall require a Participant to indemnify the Shire, its officers, servants,employees or agents against any loss, damage, expense, action or claim arising out of a negligent or wrongful act or omission of the Shire, or its servants, agents, contractors or invitees.
1.4 The Participant releases and indemnifier the Shire from any loss, damage or destruction to any property, arising out of theft, acts or omission by any person.
1.5 The Participant agrees that the indemnities provided pursuant to clause 1.2 shall survive termination and theconclusion of the Event.
Assumption of Risk
1.6 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Event is athletically demanding and will take all reasonable steps to ensure their capabilities, fitness and/or medical condition will allow them to participate in this Event.1.7 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that participating in the Event may place the Participant at risk of injury or death arising out of, and without limitation, over-exertion, dehydration, and accidents caused by other participants. 1.8 The Participant accepts all liability and responsibilityfor any loss, injury, damage or death which they may suffer as a result of participating in the Event.1.9 The Participant accepts all liability and responsibilityfor any loss, injury, damage or death which they may cause to any other Participants or any other person within or in the vicinity of the Trail and Event, arising out of their participation the Event.1.10 To the full extent permitted by law, the Participant releases the Shire, its officers, servants, employees or agents from any and all liability, for any loss, injury, damage or death suffered by any person in the Event except to the extent that the loss, injury, damage or death is caused by a negligent or wrongful act or omission of the Shire, or its servants, agents, contractors or invitees.1.11 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Trail may be uneven or slippery as it consist of natural ground coverings, including and without limitation, gravel, mud and soils. The Participant accepts and enters the Trail at their own risk and release the Shire, its officers, servants,employees or agents from any and all liability of loss, injury, damage or death arising out of the Participant’s use and presence in the Trail. 1.12 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Event is a public event, and while all reasonable attempts to reduce the risk of loss, injury, damage or death has been taken by the Shire, the Shire does not have complete control over the safety and security of the Event and the Participant’s accepts and assumes all risk associated with being within the Event and the Trail.1.13 The Participant accepts all risk of theft, damage or destruction to any personal property, including and without limitation, bicycles and motor vehicles.
Waiver
1.14 By spectating and participating in the Event, the Participant acknowledges and agrees to waive various legal rights which they may otherwise have.
General obligations
1.15 The Participant agrees to keep informed and obey, at all times, all rules, instructions and directions of the Shire, its officers, servants, employees or agents during the Event.1.16 The Participant agrees to inform the Shire, its officers, servants, employees or agents immediately if they feelany pain, discomfort, fatigue, nausea or other symptoms during and immediately after the Event.1.17 The Participant agrees to immediately vacate the Event and the Trail in a case of emergency or as directed by the Shire at any time during the Event.1.18 The Participant agrees to conduct themselves in a proper and safe manner at all times.
Consents
1.19 At all times during and immediately after the Event, the Participant consents to receive first aid and medical treatment by the Shire should they suffer any injury or illness.1.20 At all times during and after the Event and unless requested otherwise, the Participant consents to the use of their name, voice or picture in any broadcast, report, advertising promotion or other account of this Event by the Shire, and the Participant acknowledges and agreesthat they are unable demand any compensation for that use.
Binding
1.21 These Terms and Conditions shall be effective and binding upon the Participant’s heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators assigns and representatives, in the event of death or incapacity.
Severance
1.22 If any part of this Terms and Conditions is or becomes void or unenforceable, that part is or will be severed from this Terms and Conditions to the intent that all parts that are not or do not become void or unenforceable remain in full force and effect and are unaffected by that severance.
Governing Law
1.23 This Terms and Conditions is governed by and is to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Western Australia and, where applicable, the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
