Each Child a Light at the Quadrangle

Exhibition – Workshops – Conversation - Crafts

A children and families fundraising day to support Gaza Great Minds, Hope and Play, PalMusicUK, Musicians Without Borders & The Zaynab Project.

Adults £10, Children free.

Creative workshops 1pm – 4.30pm
1.30pm Design and make a decorative remembrance square for inclusion in the memorial quilt: Each Child a Light with artist Fiona Bailey.

2.30pm Music workshop with Alison Mathews and Seeds of Hope Music.

3.30pm Poetry, creative writing and kite making inspired by the book A Million Kites: testimonies of poems and from the children of Gaza.

5.30pm – 7.30pm talks and music

5.30pm Author Amy Abdelnoor will read from her new novel Ever Land

6.30pm Edie Bailey, Lydia Cochrane, Ted Gibbs and Theo Pedley play a short set of traditional folk tunes.

All day:
Craft stall with Afon Mor, a collective of women in London stitching, painting and printing to raise money for the people of Palestine.

Zines from Gaza from Coastal Lines Press, a collective of writers in Gaza.

Please feel free to bring a picnic and/or food to share. There will also be some food and drinks available as part of the fundraising.

Riverside Access - Enjoy access to the Darent River for paddling, or, for experienced open-water swimmers, a wild swim.Please note: The river is a natural, unsupervised environment and is used entirely at guests' own discretion and risk.
