Family Havdallah in the Park
Event description
Gather with other interfaith families for a serene evening in the park!
We'll commemorate the end of Shabbat, a weekly Jewish holiday centered on rest and reflection, with a special havdallah ritual.
Havdallah, derived from the Hebrew words for "separation" or "distinction," signifies the transition from the sacred time of Shabbat to the ordinary time of the week ahead. Together, we'll hold a braided havdallah candle, a box of spices, and a cup of wine, each symbolizing different aspects of this calming ritual.
jHUB will provide the main dish, and we invite you to bring a meatless side or dessert to share.
