    Event description

Following a successful launch in Merri-Bek, Family Jams is coming to Darebin!

Family Jams is an exciting new series of family-friendly gigs, bringing the best of Melbourne’s diverse, original live music scene to kids and their elders.

Join us at Thornbury Bowls Club on Sunday 2nd April for our second gig in the series, featuring MOODY BEACHES and CANISHA.

Tickets are limited, so grab yours now! Free entry for kids under 12 and Aboriginal and First Nations people.

Moody Beaches are a new post-punk grunge project featuring members of La Bastard, Hot Wings, & millennia teen dreams Sugarfiend. They first burst onto the Naarm/Melbourne underground scene in 2017 and have supported and toured with bands such as The Dead Kennedy’s, Magic Dirt, Spiderbait, Cable Ties and Amyl & the Sniffers.

Based in Naarm/Melbourne, Canisha is an exciting new artist to put on your radar. Though still new to the local music scene, her powerful and soulful vocals have gotten the attention of big names in the industry, including rapper and record label owner, Briggs. Canisha is currently working on her upcoming EP.

Family Jams Darebin is presented by Riot Baby and Charlie Woods, in partnership with Bridge Darebin.

BYO snacks. Drinks are available at the bar. Adults are encouraged to bring ear protection for their littles.
