Family Presentation: Cybersafe Families
Event description
Is the online world presenting new parenting challenges for you? Would you like your whole family to come together to discuss and agree on the best way to manage devices at home?
Pembroke warmly invites families to a workshop by Cybersafe Families. Cybersafe Families is a local South Australian business certified by the Office of the e-Safety Commissioner to provide online safety education programs in Australian schools. This session provides parents and guardians with strategies to make their home environment cyber safe, assist in understanding the opportunities and threats the online world offers, and equip them with knowledge about the best practices available to protect their families.
When: Tuesday 11 February
Time: 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Where: DY Hall, Senior School Campus, 18 Holden Street, Kensington Park
This evening session offers an opportunity for parents and children to explore the risks of the online world. Together, you will discuss both the positive and negative aspects of online experiences, the impact of screen time on the family, and strategies for creating a cyber safe home environment.
Our facilitator will guide family discussions to establish personalised guidelines and ensure everyone walks away with a shared understanding and practical tips for online safety. It is the perfect chance for the whole family to align on healthy digital habits. The presentation will be led by experts who recognise that each child’s journey in the online world is unique.
We look forward to seeing you there!
