ABOUT THE CLASS

Join us at the Lairg & District Learning Centre for the first in a series of six family woodworking sessions. Led by tutor Graham, these hands-on workshops offer a chance for families and young people to learn basic woodwork skills together in a friendly environment.

In this session, you will learn how to build a set of fantastic wooden building blocks to take home.

Age guidance: Suitable for families with children aged 8+ and teenagers. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Project: Handmade set of building blocks.
Experience: Beginner-friendly; all guidance and materials provided.

ABOUT THE FUNDER
Thanks to the Highland Council CLLD fund for approving our 'Making Space' project. “Making Space - Activities for Families and Young People” a project for children and young people from primary age through to teenagers, together with parents, carers and wider family members. The Highland Council CLLD Fund, backed by Scottish Government allocations, empowers local communities to tackle grassroots needs. It invests directly in third-sector initiatives, building community resilience, improving local assets, and fostering social regeneration across the Highlands.
