Join ARIA + 8 x Golden Guitar award winning singer-songwriter Fanny Lumsden, and her incredible band The Prawn Stars, as they hit the road celebrating Fanny's fourth studio album Hey Dawn.

Fanny’s third album Fallow, released in March 2020, was considered a ‘breakthrough’, winning the ARIA, CMAA Golden Guitar and AIR awards for Country Album of the Year as well as 4 additional Golden Guitars. It was shortlisted for the prestigious Australian Music Prize, debuted in the top 10 ARIA Charts and got many people through lockdown. Needless to say, following that, a fourth album was always going to be daunting.

So Fanny went into this album with one thing in mind – she wanted it to feel good. That’s all and as Rod Yates said, "Hey Dawn does feel good. It’s a rich character study, with the singer- songwriter reflecting on the stories that have shaped her and those around her… in short, Lumsden’s most complete offering to date".

“You have to tell the stories of the moment you’re in, and you have to put them out and trust that that is okay,” smiles Lumsden. “What are we other than the stories we tell ourselves, however those stories change over time? You can rewrite that narrative and be like hey, new day, Hey, Dawn.”

Fanny Lumsden’s shows are one of a kind. An all-in affair, where joy and exuberance meet intimate storytelling, delivered with wit, warmth & luscious harmonies. Alongside her band The Prawn Stars, Fanny has "established herself as one of the genre's most esteemed performers" (The Australian), honing her craft over 10 years and hundreds of halls across Australia on their annual ‘Country Halls Tour’.

The show is hilarious, inclusive and adventurous and don’t let the name fool you - it’s perfect for the whole family!

What others have said:

"It’s like she’s harnessed the greatest attributes of Gillian Welch and Dolly Parton" (The Music).

"She knows her story; she knows Australia’s story, and it flows like water through her music" Newcastle Herald 2022

“Lumsden remains a savvy songwriter, with strong melodies and sharp lyrical observations, and Fallow will make fans out of people who would ordinarily turn up their noses at the genre.” **** 4 Stars, Sydney Morning Herald

“Nothing prepared me for last night: It was one of the most joyous, emotional, inclusive, fun, adventurous, heavy, spontaneous, slick but loose, emotionally wrenching and hilarious shows i've ever seen. It was pure joy.” - a very happy gig goer.
