*Please note: the artists will be creating live music performance videos. To allow for the camera crew, ticket numbers will be strictly limited.

Read on to find out more about the artists, or just grab your ticket now to join in the farewell celebration for Canberra's only not-for-profit music promotor, Milestone Entertainment.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

nonbinarycode are as difficult to define as they are brilliant!

nonbinarycodes’ stunning front person, ‘InkBits’, is known for their unique brand of je ne sais quoi and engaging stage presence, paired with a killer voice! Alongside ‘The Hardman’, a multi-instrumentalist musician and music producer, the two created nonbinarycode in April 2019.

Following Band Comp 2022, nonbinarycode took on the judges’ feedback and scored themselves a mentorship. From there, they have hit Pendragon studios to release their debut double A-side “Let’s Play” and “Break-Free”; and wowed audiences on the main stage of the Illuminations Hub at the Enlighten Pride Event, earning them glowing reviews and introducing them to a whole new fan-base.

Joining InkBits (Jolene) and The Hardman (Steve), is Sorrento (Ryder) on bass and Racso (Oscar) on drums.

Due to head back Pendragon Studios in September, this is your chance to be part of the recording of their new live music performance videos to be released later this year.

______________________________________________

Sorrento launched as a solo artist in March 2022 bringing with them a range of experiences as a songwriter, lead guitarist in an Indie band, bass player in a math rock group, drummer in a rock band and guitarist in musical theatre.

The Sorrento crew includes Nate Griffin a phenomenally talented drummer and drumming teacher, and multi-instrumentalists Stephen Harden on bass, and Daniel Isherwood on guitar and keys.

Coming from the highs of performing at Australia’s national mental health music festival “Torchfest”, a sold-out Pride Month show, playing support for touring artists such as Bakers Eddy and The TryOuts; and the release of their debut track “Hateful Honey” in 2022, the Sorrento Crew is hitting the stage live for the first time this year.

Heading your way soon is their new release, currently being mastered by Pendragon Studies. With more new releases underway, the Sorrento crew have no plans of playing live again this year. So don’t miss out!

Come and enjoy the unique Sorrento showmanship and be part of the creation of their live music performance videos that are due for release later this year.

Katrina Maree & A Black Soul

Katrina Maree writes lyrics that tell emotional stories that inspire hope, positivity and drive against even seemingly insurmountable odds. Her influences are wide and range from classical music, blues, rock, prog rock and heavy metal.

Not locked in to any particular genre, Katrina Marees’ debut EP “Unrealised Dreams” showcased three songs which could be described as a mix of fold, roots and blues with a touch of jazz. By contrast, her EP “Travelling In My Mind” leans towards rock, pop, ballads and even some cheeky gypsy cabaret to weave a story of what it might be like to enter into someone else’s thoughts.

When not performing as Katrina Maree, this talented multi-instrumentalist picks up the bass and rocks out with The Black Souls, performing in their rock trio throughout Canberra and New South Wales.

Joining Katrina Maree on the night is the original Black Soul - Bart Black.

Bart Black began playing multiple musical instruments at an early age. Realising that playing violin in an orchestra and trumpet in a marching band didn't impress girls he began playing guitar. Soon becoming a sought-after session guitarist, bassist, singer, songwriter and live performer.

Bart has played and toured with several bands in Sydney and Canberra. Currently focussing on their original rock music with The Black Souls.

Keep an eye out for new releases - some more magic from Pendragon Studios recorded by The Black Souls is coming your way soon.

Daniel Isherwood is one of those rare humans whose talent knows no bounds! This young artist wowed the audience when he stepped up on short notice to perform a solo set at the 2022 Band Competition, since then he has also played solo at The Street University.

A talented multi-instrumentalist, Daniel is also active with a number of bands, hitting stages all around Canberra - including playing with the Sorrento crew as support to Bakers Eddy when their tour hit Canberra.

Not to be boxed in, Daniel also has a love of musical theatre, most recently performed with the Canberra Philharmonic for the recent run of Andrew Lloyd Webers’ CATS.

In his spare time, Daniel has a knack for writing folk and indie-adjacent music.

A definite must-see, Daniels acoustic set at the Milestone Entertainment Farewell is set to be his best yet!
