Farm Futures Masterclass Series™

• 12th August, 26th August, 23rd September and 7th October 2026          
• 9am–10am

The Farm Futures Masterclass Series is a four-part online program designed to strengthen the capacity of NSW farmers, farm managers and farming families to respond to drought, climate variability, market volatility and changing business conditions.

 

Each one-hour workshop addresses a distinct farm-business issue provides you with practical knowledge and skills you can apply immediately. 

Session 1. Terms of Trade. When Prices Move Against You 

This session examines how movements in commodity prices, input costs and purchasing power affect your margins and business viability. 

Session 2. Natural Resources. What Is Your Farm Business Really Running On? 

Identify the natural assets on which production, profitability and drought recovery depend, including soil, water, pasture, groundcover and productive capacity. 

Session 3. Culture. How We Work When the Pressure Is On 

Consider how farming families and teams communicate, make decisions, raise concerns and manage disagreement during periods of pressure. Take home strategies that  support communication and time-critical decision protocols.

Session 4. Model, Scale, Leverage. Grow, Change or Pull Back? 

Assess whether a current opportunity or challenge requires a different business model, a change in scale or greater use of technology, partnerships, contractors, leasing or external expertise.

The series is delivered through four interactive Zoom workshops, held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and the dates stated above. Instructions for how to join the sessions on Zoom will be sent via email before the event.
