Farm Kids School Holiday Program October 2026

Give kids a day of fresh air, fun and discovery at our Farm Kids School Holiday program. Designed for curious young explorers, this hands-on program invites children to connect with nature, learn about small-scale urban farming and undertake activities including making their own (no cook) lunch using farm ingredients.

Kids will get a chance to meet and feed our sheep, goats and chickens and do some light farm work including planting seedlings. They will undertake various activities throughout the day as well as enjoy time in our Children's Garden.

Located in Warrawong NSW, just south of Wollongong, Green Connect is an award-winning social enterprise with a mission to employ and support former refugees and young people with complex barriers to employment. We can't wait to welcome you to our farm!

Before you book, please consider:

• This is a drop-off program, however a surcharge of $25 will apply to anyone picking up their child later than 4pm.

• The site is a working farm and there are hazards onsite. Your child will be expected to stay with the group and listen to instructions. Behaviour that is unsafe for staff, animals and other children will result in that child having to be sent home.

• The terrain at the farm is steep and slippery in parts. Covered footwear (not Crocs...) and long pants are mandatory. Make sure you wear clothes that can get dirty.

• Plants love rain and so do we! We don’t cancel events in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Rain (and mud!) is all part of the fun.

• Our farm is home to potential allergens, including domestic animals as well as bees, wasps, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and advise staff.

• Come prepared for the weather: Gumboots and rain jackets are recommended in wet weather (umbrellas are permitted too). Hat, sunscreen and water bottle are essential in warm weather

• Due to small numbers in our sessions cancellations will not result in a refund unless there are very exceptional circumstances.
