    Event description

Presented by the Gecko Clan Landcare Network...

The safety of young children on the farm is a top priority for every landholder – mums, dads, grandparents - and anyone who spends time on rural properties with their families. We're pleased to invite you to our upcoming event which will present an opportunity to enhance your awareness of farm safety for kids.

From identifying potential hazards to implementing preventive measures, we'll provide valuable insights to ensure a safe environment for young children.

We're excited to announce our guest presenters: Helen Jowett, Trauma Program Manager from the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, and Jessie Adams from the National Centre for Farmer Health. Jessie grew up on a beef farm in north east Victoria and has recently completed her PhD on child safety on farms.

Morning tea will be provided on arrival and will be an opportunity to connect with fellow attendees from the local community, as well as find out more about your local Landcare groups.

Farm Safe Kids is a free event where all are welcome. We encourage you to bring your children along to learn together in a family-friendly environment.

This event is funded by the Victorian Landcare Grants Program, supported by the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority on behalf of the Victorian State Government.
