"The Farmer & The Critic" Farm-to-Table Dinner with Andrew Galarneau & Always Something Farm
Event description
You’re invited to a one-night-only collaboration: The Farmer & The Critic
This evening brings together two longtime friends from opposite sides of the local food scene. Andrew Galarneau, former food editor of The Buffalo News and founder of FourBites, is stepping out from behind the critic’s pen and into the kitchen. He’s teaming up with Mike Parkot of Always Something Farm, who raises heritage breed animals with care and intention on his 42-acre farm in Darien.
Together, they’re crafting a meal that celebrates the seasonal bounty of our region — and the stories it holds. With over 25 years spent exploring and elevating Western New York’s culinary landscape, Andrew brings a deep love of food and the people who make it. Mike brings the land, the livestock, and the slow, thoughtful work of farming it.
Each course reflects their shared commitment to local, ethically sourced ingredients — and invites you to experience what happens when cultivation meets critique, and when two perspectives come together at the same table.
Join us for an evening of good food, good stories, and a fresh way to taste what Western New York has to offer.
