Farm-To-Table Dinner with Chef Jessica Arends of BABS of Buffalo
Event description
Let’s celebrate the abundance of late summer with this dinner, featuring:
Chef Jessica Arends
of Six Friends Cabernet
At the end of August we are full on into abundant harvests of all the lush fruits from the gardens. Color is bursting forth everywhere and things feel bountiful and alive.
All we want to do is enjoy the fruits of the season, right?!
Well, you can enjoy a delicious multi-course meal outdoors amongst the trees, birds and beauty!
Step into another time and place at Crown Hill Farm where the evening seems to last forever until the fireflies come. Sit down to a luscious meal where the food is so fresh, you just saw it in the garden right before it appears on your plate!
JOIN US AT CROWN HILL FARM FOR A BEAUTIFUL FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER!
Be greeted to the farm by Missy Singer DuMars along with her goofy flock of heritage geese, ducks & chickens as she gives you a tour of her beautiful sustainable farm & gardens.
Discover the interesting history of Crown Hill Farm and how Missy is returning the property to it’s farming roots. Learn about the unique heirloom varieties of produce grown at Crown Hill and the importance of diversity in our food systems and the exciting ways that our local restaurants utilize the gifts of food from our region.
Then, sit down to a beautiful meal prepared by Chef Jessica Arends of Six Friends Cabernet, who brings us a menu inspired by the bounty of local, seasonal foods available in Western NY and the pleasure of eating a meal straight from the farm. Enjoy your dinner amongst the fullness of the apple orchard, gardens, surrounding hay field & vineyard with a view of Lake Erie on the horizon.
The meal’s seasonal focus will feature produce from Crown Hill at the peak of its season paired with sausage made by B.A.B.S Artisan Meats (Jessica & her husband Stephen’s newest venture) featuring locally raised meats so that you can enjoy the full experience of flavor and variety WNY has to offer. In order to work with what is at its best, the full menu will not be finalized until soon before the dinner.
Take in the beauty of the early evening light as Chef Jessica shares about the delicious, seasonal menu she prepared for you in addition to the regional wine pairings she’s chosen for the evening’s meal.
Bring along your friends or family to sit together and dine on this multi-course Farm-to-Table meal and enjoy the optional add-on wine pairings hosted by Kim from Six Friends Cabernet.
COME PLAY OUTSIDE WITH US!
Finally, relax as the sun sets over the lake, feeling the pleasure of deep nourishment with a satisfied body and full heart.
