Are you a current or aspiring market gardener, looking to complete a whole site assessment and plan a new site? Join Farmer Incubator for a comprehensive 2-day deep dive into identifying limitations, opportunities and considerations when it comes to farm planning. Learn from the best in the business, with hands-on learning and take your farming expertise to the next level.

Day 1: Saturday 26th August 10am to 2pm, Bundoora Park Farm
This open consultancy will equip you with the skills to undertake a basic landscape overview, as well as apply your business plan and the market's influences to your farm design. Analysis of various commercial market garden set ups - tractor or no tractor? How does this affect my design? Work towards understanding budgeting and finance, and how it might influence design and implementation. Learn how to check soils, and know what to look out for. Finally, how to work with what you've got: nothing is ideal!
Day 2: Sunday 27th August 10am-3pm, Five Tale's Farm - new location at Piedmont, details TBC)
Day Two, our field trip will entail an on-site, hands-on exploration of Day One's learnings. Gain a deeper understanding of where and how to establish a plot, including; irrigation, access, roads, drainage, infrastructure (incl. pack house, sheds, cool rooms etc.) You'll leave the Masterclass with the knowledge and confidence needed to strike out on your own, plus connections and new friends in the growing space!Â
