Fascial Mobilisation & Stretching for Musculoskeletal Conditions
Myofascial adhesions that interfere with how the fascia glides and slides can contribute to a number of musculoskeletal conditions that can lead to local and distal pain, decreased range of motion and poor functional movement patterns needed on a daily basis.
This theory and practical based workshop will focus on fascial mobilisation in the form of hands on treatment and muscle energy techniques for specific upper body musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches involving the upper cervical spine the occipital region and altered neuro-dynamics of the upper limb that can lead to altered sensation, weakness and altered range of motion of the arm and forearm region.
Once each treatment is completed for that specific region a specific fascial stretching exercise in the form of fascial self-mobilisation will be covered so the client can take home a range of corrective stretches to aid in their recovery.
By the end of this one day workshop the participant will be able to accurately assess and treat these specific musculoskeletal conditions as well as providing the client a corrective stretching program for these specific regions.
