Collarts, the Australian College of the Arts, presents 'Fashion Rediscovered - Styling Workshop'
Explore your relationship with fashion through an interactive discussion on body positivity, individual style and self expression. Facilitated by contemporary fashion specialist Thea Basiliou, founder of the multi brand boutique Blonde Venus, co-founder of lifestyle store The Outpost, and Fashion Marketing academic at Collarts - The Australian College for the Arts, this session will provide tips on how to audit your wardrobe and reimagine and restyle a garment from your own wardrobe.
Thea will discuss the following topics:
1. Personal Expression and body positivity: Discovering your unique style identity and using fashion as a form of self-expression.
2. Wardrobe Edit: How to audit your own wardrobe Introducing new apps and tools for digitising your wardrobe, organizing items, and planning outfits.
3. Individual Style: Each participant to bring one garment which you no longer wear. In this interactive discussion we will discuss how you can reimagine/ restyle and find joy in his garment again?
4. Visit the Sustainable Market: With the knowledge now gained from this workshop, head down to the M/FW Sustainable Market to find items to compliment your wardrobe for the long term.
