UNTOLD X The StandardX: First Nations Fashion as a Catalyst for Change.

Coinciding with this year's 2025 Melbourne Fashion Week, Agency is pleased to be partnering with The StandardX to celebrate First Nations Fashion.

Join us at 8.30am on Wednesday 22nd October for a breakfast conversation discussing First Nations Fashion as a catalyst for change, hosted by the wonderful Leila Gurruwiwi, in conversation with Mayatili Marika, Sonya Coleman and Tahnee Edwards.

This panel will be hosted in The Loft at the StandardX in Fitzroy, where coffee and breakfast will be available to purchase. Limited tickets available.

Tahnee Edwards: Tahnee is a proud Yorta Yorta & Taungurung woman, designer, business owner and community worker based in Naarm/Melbourne. Gammin threads is her creative outlet from her part-time job at Aboriginal family violence prevention service Djirra, where she works in Comms and Community Engagement. Tahnee has a love of typography and pop culture, and is inspired by culture, community and cool aunties.

Mayatili Marika is a Rirratjingu Traditional Owner and Yolŋu woman from north-east Arnhem Land, known for her work in cultural leadership, curation, education, and international arts advocacy. In addition to her role as General Manager of First Nations Culture, Strategy & Partnerships at Agency Projects, she is a passionate advocate for First Nations fashion and the founder of sustainable fashion label Countryman Collective.

Host - Leila Gurruwiwi: Leila Gurruwiwi (she/her) is a proud Yolŋu woman, originally from Galiwinku on Elcho Island in North East Arnhem Land, NT. She is a media personality, a captivating presenter, a talented actor, a cultural ambassador, and a knowledgeable mentor.
