FashionTech Meetup with Anouk Wipprecht

Melbourne | Thursday 4th December | 6:00pm to 8:30pm

This is a free event

Join us for a special evening with Anouk Wipprecht, internationally renowned Dutch FashionTech designer and engineer. Known for her groundbreaking creations that move and react to the people around them, like her ‘screen dress’ that works on brain-signals or her robotic ‘spider dress’, which reacts to people entering the personal space. Anouk combines fashion, robotics, and interactive design to push the limits of what clothing can be. And discover the wonderful world of what you can do with electronics!

Expect an inspiring talk, interactive Q&A, and plenty of time for networking with Melbourne’s fashion and tech community.

About Anouk

Anouk Wipprecht is a Dutch designer/engineer working at the cutting edge of FashionTech, where couture meets robotics, AI, and interactive design. Her creations, described as “technological couture,” don’t just clothe the body; they interact with it and the world around it. From the iconic Spider Dress series, with robotic limbs that protect personal space, to wearables that sense emotions or physiological signals, to her newest designs based on Brain-Computer Interfaces. Her work challenges the boundaries of fashion and technology.

Anouk has collaborated with global innovators, including Intel, Audi, Microsoft, Cirque du Soleil, and Swarovski, and her projects have been exhibited worldwide. Beyond her practice, she is a passionate educator and speaker, sharing insights into how technology can transform design, performance, and even well-being. Through her pioneering vision, Anouk is shaping a future where fashion becomes an interface between humans and technology.
