Serve, Sip & Social 🏓 (a.k.a. the Campus Grand Slam)

Looking for a break between classes? Come down for a hit, a coffee, and some good company!

Serve, Sip & Social is a free, super-casual pickleball morning for ALL STUDENTS designed for meeting new people, whether you're a total beginner or you've played before.

Pickleball is easy to pick up (we promise you'll get it in five minutes), and with multiple courts running at once there's always room to jump in. Play a few games, then hang around for free coffee and snacks and get to know the people you just met. No experience needed!

Just rock up in your enclosed shoes and we'll sort the rest.

FAQ

Do I need a team?
Nope! Come solo or bring friends, just turn up and jump in. If you come solo, you'll be placed in a team but you are welcome to roam around the courts and mingle with other teams.

What if I've never played before?
Perfect. This is a social event open to all levels and abilities, and we'll teach you the rules so you can get straight out on court. The aim of the afternoon is to get your body moving and spend some quality time in soaking up some vitamin D.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No, all equipment is supplied. Just bring enclosed shoes and we'll sort the rest. You are welcome to bring a water bottle too however a water bubbler is adjacent to the sports centre.

Is it free to join?
100% free. Free coffee, free snacks, free pickleball. 🙌

What if I have class?
You can drop in anytime between 12-2. We will have multiple rounds going at once. You can rock up at 12, 1, 1:30 etc... We will find a place to slot you in!

How many courts are there?
Five pickleball courts running at once across SUSF Courts 1-3, so there's always space to get involved. Each court will have 4 players going at once. Our volunteers will be facilitating rotations between courts so everyone will get a chance to move around and sub on and off.
