Fatayer (Palestinian Savoury Pastry)
Event description
Learn to make delicious Fatayer, a popular savoury pastry from the Middle East. Fadia will teach you each step of the process and by the end of the class you will have two types of fatayer to snack on, one spinach and one meat.
Fadia is a Palestinian/Syrian who has been living in Tasmania for 6 years. She loves to cook traditional Middle Eastern foods, sharing stories with people, exchanging cultural experiences and has recently launched a small mobile food business. Fadia is currently studying Individual Support at TAFE and is kept extra busy by her two young children. She really enjoys studying and learning about different cultures, perspectives and experiences.
This workshop culminates in a shared meal (from 1pm -1.30pm). Please advise of dietary requirements at checkout. Please note that some dietary requirements may not be able to be met due to the nature of this cuisine. Get in touch with us if you have any concerns or queries.
Don't forget to bring a takeaway container to take home any leftovers!

Please arrive on time - or better yet, a little early, as all sessions will start on time. There will be coffee and tea available while you wait, and you may even get to see the results of other workshops!
