'Favourite Kid/Aspy Jones'' Music Gig - Supported by 'The Half-time Show'

Coffs Harbour knew them when they played under the banner of 'Aspy Jones', but now they are a dynamic sibling trio who have bounced onto Queensland’s indie-folk, alt-country and pop music scene. The Favourite Kid will play an acoustic set, making it a more intimate gig. 

It all started over five years ago when older brother and 2024 Queensland Music Award winner, Ethan, 26, started writing and recording his own songs and embarked on a solo musical journey under the moniker ‘Aspy Jones’. After 16 song releases and over 350,000 streams, he persuaded his talented younger sister, Jaimie, 23, and brother Saul, 21, to join him on this musical adventure. He recognised the magic that could be created with a family collaboration each adding their unique flair mixed with sibling harmonies, vibrant and lively storytelling and a delightful mix of funny banter and sibling rivalry to their live shows. ‘Favourite Kid’ are heavily influenced by Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and George Ezra and they have been working on their debut album which is due to be released in 2024. And yes, the the timeless sibling question still remains: 'Who is the Favourite Kid?'

Support Act: The Half -Time Show

The Half - Time Show is a neruospicy band, locally grown in Coffs Harbour! The band formed in January of this year under the careful direction of Lizzy Rutten & Mick Mooney from Grow The Music. The band wrote, recorded and released their first original track "Gotta Dream" in the space of 9 days.
