    Event description

Favourite Kid are launching their new single 'Uncomfy' on Friday 9th August at 7pm at VHS HiFi Studio, Wooloongabba with Katanak and Red Le Clerc. Tickets available now!

    Favourite Kid

Favourite Kid are a dynamic sibling trio who have bounced onto Queensland’s indie-folk, alt-country and pop music scene. It all started over five years ago when older brother, Ethan, started writing and recording his own songs as Aspy Jones and then talked his sister, Jaimie and brother, Saul into joining him. Favourite Kid celebrate neurodiversity and have already graced the renowned stages at many venues and festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Mitchell Creek Rock ‘n’ Blues Fest and the Caloundra Music Festival and songwriter, Ethan was the first recipient to win the Q Music Dalwood-Wylie Scholarship Award.

    Katanak

Fresh indie tunes with catchy pop hooks are the signature style of emerging Brisbane artist Katanak. Known for his infectious indie rock/pop groove-inducing earworms that fans of 5 Seconds of Summer, The Band Camino and Smallpools will appreciate, Katanak brings colour to your world. Fresh off touring and collaborating with some of Australia's most highly respected emerging and established artists (Quan Yeomans (Regurgitator) and Pete Murray to name a few), Katanak effortlessly blends elements of pop and indie rock, creating a sound that resonates with listeners across genres and comfortably straddles genre's grey area of pop meets indie rock.

    Red Le Clerc

Red Le Clerc, as featured on Triple J's 'Out To Party', is a Brisbane musician with a background in choir and ensemble singing and a strong folk influence. She uses these to create a series of folk and pop ballads alongside her 5 piece band. QUBE Effect finalist for 2023 and three-time feature on 4ZZZ's Hot 100, Red Le Clerc uses songwriting to express the struggles of the human experience and hopes to make them into something beautiful
