FBR ROM presents: CUTS n CUPS offline Beta

We’re launching the beta of a new event series at Ni Hao bar above Civic Underground. CNC OFFLINE is built on the the long-standing love between electronic music and ‘demoscene’ - an underground digital art movement that has played a massive role in why this genre looks the way that it does.

No photos, legit demo-scene visuals, NEXO sound system, curated cocktails and specialty brews.

Welcome to the new era of CNC.

The SPACE

Nihao Bar

Nihao bar is situated above the civic hotel. Most days, it's a laidback, rather fancy bar with very non FBR vibes. We've been their coffee plug for some time now and have been itching to infect their venue with our crowd, our style, and our sound.

Now we've finally got the chance :)

We're transforming their space this Thursday night into the UNDERGROUND APEX. Expect an unique cocktail menu, food and a range of curated coffee.

Rising selector Loaf has spent countless hours refining her USB to take you on a borderline spiritual journey. After breaking into mixing, Loaf hit the ground running and has since supported industry luminaries including Adam Pits, Guy Contact and Youandewan. Exploring the vast realm of contemporary and 90s progressive house and trance, her selection will be perfect for some evening coffee or drinks and most definitely for some groovin too.

SPENG : 1900-2100 [DIGITAL B2B]

SPENG pretty much shot up out of nowhere and is a rising as a DJ in the underground scene, delivering hard-hitting sets that blend breakbeat, prog, and acid into a seamless flow. With a background as a photographer, speng has been capturing the energy of the rave for years, and in 2023, made the leap behind the decks. His unique perspective on music and events has shaped his sound, giving him an ear for what truly moves a crowd.
Having already supported names like Moktar, Logic1000 and Fadi Mohem, a major milestone for speng is his upcoming set at Lost Paradise this year. Known for his sharp mixing and diverse track selection, speng brings a fresh, raw energy that keeps dancefloors pulsing.
Whether it's a deep progressive build or an acid-driven banger, speng creates an atmosphere that pulls you in and keeps you locked.

SIM SELECT: 1900-2100 [DIGITAL B2B]

Starting his music career in Boorloo, Sim Select finds himself draw to music anything with interesting textures and experimental rhythms. As a selector of breaks, techno all the way to jungle and footwork, there's little that Sim Select will shy away from.

BOUKI 🐊: 2100-2200 [DIGITAL]

FBR probably wouldn't be in the scene if it wasn't for this myth of a man, BOUKI. Tearing it up with some of the most insane events I've ever been to in my lifetime a man you can't miss portaling some of the best UK sounds to our Australian shores.

Ever wanted to see a 4 way? You might... After 10 if It's still pumping we go overtime. Who knows what will happen.

A selection of roasts from around Eora will be available as always. Give opinions. Ask questions.

Hand-picked selection of Diggy-Doos, Haven, Sleepy Bloc, Headlands coffee, and Stitch for you all to enjoy alongside the music.

Dance and drink till you are unable to sleep.
