Event description

This event will include four sessions, lunch and wine-tasting!

Two keynote presentations:

  •   Dr David Jordan: Wine in the Hebrew Bible and Ancient Judaism

David’s PhD thesis – “An Offering of Wine” - explored the role of wine in the Hebrew Bible and ancient Judaism through the examination of the semantics of some keywords.

  •       Caleb Wearne (winemaker): Ancient and modern wine-making

Caleb’s presentation will include wine-tasting and will be tied in with lunch.

Other sessions:

  •       What are you working on? In this ‘lightning’ session (similar to one we held at the Sydney FBS Conference in 2023) we will hear several short presentations about members’ current research projects or interests.
  •       My PhD thesis. In these ‘lightning’ sessions we will hear several short presentations from current PhD candidates and recent PhD graduates about their thesis.
