    Event description

Stopping Family Violence and the Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing are pleased to announce their 2023 Conference: 'The Journey to Ending Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence'. We are delighted to be partnering with Optus Stadium to host the Conference on the 12th and 13th of September 2023 and the Masterclass on the 14th of September 2023.

This conference will explore the relationships across primary prevention, early intervention, response, and recovery, and how each plays an important role in ending family, domestic, and sexual violence. With a focus on the ‘whole of systems approach’ across government and non-government services, exploring key research and policy work, interventions and new initiatives across the sector in addressing

    · Children and young people's needs and voices as a priority
    · Recognising and responding to the perpetrator as the cause of harm
    · Adult and child victim-survivor-led practices that are family, domestic and sexual violence-informed, trauma-informed, and strengths-based
    · Culturally safe practices and services that prioritise diversity and inclusion
    · Embedding high-quality, evidence-based services that are family, domestic and sexual violence informed.

In the event that you are unable to attend due to financial constraints or funding limitations, we welcome you to contact us to go on a list for subsidised tickets for the conference. In the event subsidised tickets are available, we will then be in touch to allocate a subsidised ticket. Please email admin@fdvconference.com.au with your request and we will be in touch as soon as we can.

Stopping Family Violence and the Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing are facilitating a full-day masterclass on Thursday 14 September 2023

The interactive masterclass will provide a valuable opportunity to work through applying and implementing learnings from the conference. The day will include content on new and emerging frameworks, emerging practice, research, and consultations such as the Code of Practice.

This masterclass is designed to support a wide range of practitioners working in the prevention, early intervention, response or recovery as well as intersecting sectors such as AOD, mental health, disability and/or homelessness.

Due to the interactive style of the masterclass, places are limited. Book your ticket now to avoid disappointment.

Join us on the journey of bringing the pieces together from prevention to recovery in family, domestic and sexual violence as we collectively work towards a better future free from violence.
