Fear and Loathing in First Draft
Description
This workshop is designed for writers who are working on a book-length narrative. It focuses on first draft, but with excursions into related topics such as getting stuck and revision. Participants are asked to bring a few pages of their draft, paper and something to write with, and questions about any stage of the writing process.
Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka and lives in Warrane/Sydney on unceded Gadigal land. Her fiction is published across the world and has won several awards, including the 2025 Stella Prize and Prime Minister's Literary Award for Theory & Practice. Her 2003 novel, The Hamilton Case, has recently been published as a Text Classic.
