Throughout all of history we have connected over shared food, be it a humble meal by the fire or a tremendous table in a great hall. There is something wonderful about sitting down with loved ones, friends or even strangers and through the sharing of flavours the world seems a little brighter and warmer ...
And thusly we hope to begin a tradition of our own.
Every Month at Cinnamon and Co we will plan a delightful Banquet dinner based around a theme. Sometimes a cuisine, sometimes an idea, sometime just a feeling.
In April we are taking our tastebuds to Louisiana for a flavour celebration of Southern Soul... Cajun creole is something entirely magical. A melting pot of influences from West African, French, Spanish and local indigenous peoples - the flavour is like nothing else... darkly simmering roux, the holy trinity vege sizzling in a pot, cornbread hot out of the oven and the creamiest of grits
It will all be plant based and made with love right here in our new kitchen
The Nitty Gritty
How it works
*Book your ticket right here - there are limited tickets so bookings are necessary
*BYO Alcohol - We currently don't have a liquor licence so you are very welcome to bring a bottle of wine or your favourite beer to pair with your Feast - just $2 a person
*Ticket price covers the feast in its entirety (see MENU below) - there will be non alcoholic beverages available on the night
*Have any dietary requirements? Let us know and we will see if we can adjust!
*Doors open at 5.3 but you can book from 5.30pm till 8.30pm (Please no later than 8.30 so you have plenty of time to graze your way through the menu )

To Start
*Deviled Jackfruit Crab Cakes - Smashed potato stuffed full of spiced jackfruit, capsicum and onion, served with smoky aioli
*Silky marinated Tofu in a crisp cajun spiced batter
To fill your belly (and your soul)
*Grits - Creamy, cheesy cornmeal
*Dirty rice
*Gumbo - The deepest richest stew that is the heart of Louisiana. A dark thick gravy slowly cooked with smoky jackfruit, onion, capsicum, celery and sweet potato
*To Finish
*Peach and Blackberry Cobbler with vanilla icecream
